(Received Mar Bth, 11.55 p.m.l ROME, 3lav 8. Fine weather has intensified the activity on tho Italian front. Tho snows are melting.in the Trentino. Ha!f a million peasants and soldiers hare been engaged in constructing roads, trenches, and dug-outs along the 500 miles between Switzerland and the Adriatic.
The Italians hare everywhere an equality of guns -with the enemy, and it is believed that their artillery is superior on the Isonzo front. Tho Italian aeroplanes are rapidly developing, and have deprived the Austrians of the mastery of the air.
