POULTRY, PIGEON AND CANARY CLUB.
The Christchurch Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Club met last night. Mr G. E. Jeffreys presiding over a good attendance. The secretary reported that the acceptances in the J übiice Sweepstake classes had closed on Saturday, and full nominations bad been received in most classos. It was decided that in the ©vent of only one, or two, acceptances, the prize money should be paid out pro rata. The secretary further reported that ho had interviewed tho railway authorities with reRaffd to the carriage of exhibits to shows, ana had been informed that tho facilities available hitherto wero still available with the exception of tli© express trains. Aa 'he railway facilities were not so stringent as . anticipated, a largo foreign entry should be assured for the Jubilee Show.
