THE COURTS.
MAGISTERIAL. (Before Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. For having been found drunk Patrick Butler, described by the Magistrate as "an old stager," was corfricted and discharged. Peter Sinclair was fined 10s in each case on charges of drunkenness and procuring liquor during the currency of a prohibition order. Two first offenders were convicted and discharged, and at their own request, prohibition orders were issued against them - ALLEGED THEFT. Fred Jackson was charged that about October 21st, at jliddleton, he stole a magneto, valued at £7, the property of Harry Stewart. On the application of Detective-Sergeant Mcllveney, a remand till January oth was granted, bail being fixed at accused in £50, and one surety in a similar amount.
