PERSONAL NOTES.
Word has been received in tiehburton that Private Percy Crisp has recovered from big wounds, and is at present on furlough in England.
Mtb Humphreys, of Christchnrch, Las received a cablegram from her youngest son, Clement Wynn, -who left with the Xintli Reinforcements, and was ■wounded in Franco on October Ist, stating that he is doing well. He is now in Oxford, England.
Mrs R. J. Wallace, of Temuka, received word on "Wednesday that her second son. Private SamueL P. Wallace, ■who was reported missing on September 27 th. is now reported through the Court of Enquiry as having been killed in action in France. Private Wallace left Temuka as a trooper in the 13th Reinforcements, but was transferred to the infantry at Trentham. The deceased soldier was born in Ireland. 21 years ago, and arrived in New Zealand with his parents in 1907, and resided with them at Winchester, where he attended the. public 6chool. His eldest brother is at the front.
