Government Meteorologist, supplied tie. following- -weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m. yesterday:— _ A redistribution of atmospheric pressure has accounted for improved conditions today but scattered rain ins been reported, especially in the northern and southernmost districts. Strong westerly winds lm'e given plape to variable breezes. Present indications are for increasing: westerly winds, veering to northerly, with fa ling barometer again shortly. Warm and hazy weather is probable, butmneettled and cloudy conditions arc likely to follow- ©vnywhcro, and rain in all the western and southern districts.
