A RICOARTOX MO\TSMENT. A meotinq; of tho committee, formed at a recent public meeting of ratepavers for the purpose of promoting a proposal to join the borough, was held in the Tiiecarton Town Hall on Thursday evening, Mr 0. D. White presiding; over a large attendance. It was decided that the committee should meet fortnightly as from December 13th. A great, deal of interest was created when n comparison of tbj> local and city rates -was made, showing that, in the event of the proposa.l being carried, tho ratepayers would benefit by a reduction in rates. An Excutirc Committee, consisting of Messrs"ftradnock (secretary), Haberfield, "Waddell, Wilson, and While, was appointed to obtain information as to the procedure necessary to carry the proposal through.
