Last Sunday morning a stock £31 Briscoe touring car, four cylinder model, t fifl with four passengers, was driven from the ' k HH Key Route Inn, Twenty-second and S WB Broadway, Oakland, to the summit of £ I**** Mount Diablo, in 55 minutes flat. This K trimmed four minutes off the best previous e record. The distance is thirty-three'miles. 5 The record was out of the hands of the Ej Briscoe only ten days, the former record H of the Briscoe having been excelled H October 5. Sunday morning at 2 o'clock, H the attempt- was made, which again • H brought home the trophies. The drivers H were M. F. Doorley and V. W. Hammond.
