It could not be imagined that the epidemic had been stamped out, but, the Health Department authorities were dome all they possibly could to prevent the disease again breaking out by insisting on greater cleanliness wherever thev inspected. He hoped their efforts would be supported by the local bodies- The chief measures of prevention which were to be borne in mind were the great- need for cleanliness in the back yards, the most careful attention must be paid to tins and rubbish, and the disinfecting of the places which might be deemed to be a source of infection. Bv such means the breaking out of the epidemic a oain this summer might be avoided.
