ADDINGTON MARKET.

LARGE EXTBIES OF FAT

STOCK

(Br or* coHirwiciAi. editor.)

There were large entries of-fat cattle, sheep, and lambs and fairly, good yardings of store stock. There was a large, attendance in view of the fact that some business was being dono for export. Fat cattle sold well, as a new export firm wa« among the buyers. Fat lambs were easier than last week, but there was a large entry, 02S being penned, and the two local freezing works were operating. The fat sheep pens were nearly all filled, and although prices were easier than last week there was a strong demand, both for export and by the butchers, until towards the end of the sale. Store sheep vera easier in consequence of the continued dry -weather. Store and dairy cattle were in good demand, and pigs of all classes showed a decline, on account of larger numbers now coming forward. STORE SHEEP. The yarding of store sheep wa s bv far the heaviest for months past, and comprised all classes of sheep—ewes. lambs, and wethers, some linens of the. latter being particularly good. The quality of the yarding on the whole wa s from medium to. good. The. bulk of the sheep had been shorn. Probably owing to-~thc full supplies, and to the dry weather conditions making a continuance of good feed proble" raatical in sonic districts, the market was distinctly easier, especially for backward sorts, which were down about 2s per head. The range of prices was as follows:— Mixed sexes, woolly hoggets, 29 s 2d. Mixed sexes, shorn hoggets 20s 3d. Two-tooth ewes, 28s. Four, six and eight-tooth ewes. 2*& to 255.
