Settlers whoso land is affected by the present eta-te o£ tho lake are requested to meet at the Drainage Board's office, Tai Tapu, at 2.30 pjn. on Saturday next, to consider what steps shall be taken to ensure that the lake parish fete of _ St. Johns Church, Woolston, will be held in the vicarage grounds next Saturday afternoon and A sale of work will be held at St. James e, lower Riccarton, to-morrow afternoon. A meeting of master bakers will be held in the Employers' Association rooms, Cashel street, at 8.15 to-night. . On Saturdav next, at 050 p.m., a jumblo sale will be held in St. Miohael's panah hall.
