A HASTINGS INDUSTRY. A Sydney cable recently spoke of the scarcity of. rennet, and the experiments that "were being made with calves' veils. Those interested in the cheese-mak-ing industry in New Zealand will be pleased to learn that relief is likely to come locally, as a Hastings firm, the Velio Company, has commenced the manufacture of rennet, the quality of which is equal to the imported article, the company having a received, the New Zealand Government certificate to that effect. The Velio Company have rennet now ready for market, and they anticipate" next season being in a position to supply the needs of the whole of the Dominion. 1315
