TRIBUTES TO HIS MEMORY. The Officer Commanding B Company, 13th Regiment, writes: —The death of Lieutenant G. S. Lambie comes as a great 6hock to his many friends in the 13th Regiment, of which he had been adjutant for tho past eighteen months. • He was noted for, his thoroughness, his skill as an instructor, and his zealous, though 'tactful, insistence on order and ; and he set a high standard of efficiency alike to officers and men. He discharged his duties .•onscieutiousiy and fearlessly, yet always he displayed a line regard for the ieoiings ot otners, and he earned the admiration and rcspcct of everyone in the regiment, not only as an excellent ojicor, but as a first-rate gentleman. Our late friend gave up his profession At the call of duty, and had some time fliaco intimated his desiro to proceed on active service, despite unusually binding home ties. His sorrowing re- . ]atives may find comfort in tho knowledge that ho gave himself to his country's service just as truly as if ho • lad been killed in action. Lambie, adjutant of tfie 13th Regiment, of which the College students form No. 7 platoon. In the evening the students wcec called together by their platoon commander (Sergeant Paulsen), and passed a vote of sympathy with, tho relatives of the deceased officer, all present standing at i attention.
