DELAY INEVITABLE IN ' SUPPLIES. (By Cable.—Prees Association.—Copyright.) SYDNEY, December 5. It is expected that tho balanco of the collieries will be working within a few days. Their not having started already is due to inability to get the mines inreadiness after the recent stoppage. Even when all aro working it is improbable that commercial demands will bo filled till towards tho middle of January, owing to the big demands of the Commonwealth for 6hips and other essential purposes, whose stocks have J>oen greatly depleted.

At a meetin-' at Blatkball last night it was decicTed that the men still remain out till tho end of this week, and await developments at other coal-mines. Tho restricted output of tho State collieries has t>ccn partly raised, so far as tlie hewers are concerned, but the truckers are dissatisfied, and demand an additional 7J per cent. Truckers were formerly paid 10s Now they rcceive lis Gd, including a 10 per cent, war "bonus. Tho demand for 7-h per cent, is io mak" truckers' wages up to 12s 3d.
