The Civilians Mobilisation Bill includes women. A demonstration of rorvants and wives of soldiers, held in the Clinrlottenburg Town Hall, protested against being forced to work in factories, and demanded ''bread and poaco." ' ABUSING BELGIUM. PROTEST TO AMERICA. (Australian and X.Z. Oable Association.) NEW YORK, December 4. M. Carton Do Wiart, the Belgian 1 Minister for Justice, in a special cablegram to tho "New York World," says: —"The deportations, the result of barbarity and bad faith by Germany, ' caused an aggregation of German marks in the Belgian banks- The Germans have now seized 500,000,000 marks, which they have eompulsorily invested in Germany. The invaders planned to ruin Belgian industries, and forced the deportations in order to release Germans for the army. Belgium has supplied four-fifths of tho Western Army's needs. The total German profits from tho occupation of Belgium have reached 2,000,000,000 j marks. Salaries aro only paid to workmen who sign engagement registers, and they are obliged to work in virtual slavery." M. Do Wiart concludes : — "Will tho country of Lincoln remain passive in the presence of organised trade in civilised men?" "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS." ("The Times.") ' (Received December 6th, 12.10 a.m.) ROTTERDAM, December 5. Berlin, replying to protests as to the Belgian deportations, practically tells the Dutch to mind thpir own business.
