LINES ADVANCED. HEAVY SNOWFALLS OCCUR. (By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Renter's Telegrams.) (Received November 19th, 5.5 pjn.) November 18. An Italian communique says:— "After a bombardment of the line we | advanoed at several points on the [ Careo. [ "A strong enemy attack was repulsed eastwards of Vertojba. "Heavy snowfalls are hindering operations elsewhere." ATTACKS BEPULSED. The High Commissioner reports:— LONDON, November 17 (5.25 p.m.). An Italian official communique states:— "At San Marco, east of Gorizia, during heavy fighting yesterday, three determined enemy attacks, under cover of darkness, were made against the Two Pines House salient. They were repulsed this morning. After intense artillery preparation, the enemy renewed his attacks, but only succeeded in taking a trench south-east of Two Pines. "Elsewhere the enemy was driven off with heavy loss.''
