The jumble sale, which was promoted by the Lin wood Congregational Church, and held in the Leyden street Hall on Saturday afternoon, resulted in £13 7s 6d. Hutments Fund was given in the Choral Hall on Saturday evening by the Idlers' Club, a clever combination of Chnstchnrch. ladies. was an excellent attendance. Tho first part of the programme devoted to an "Arabian Nights" entertainment. written and arranged by a member of the chib. In the second part eome excellent choruses were given, a solo, "Songs •of Roumania," by Miss Pidgeon; a pierrot and pierrette dance, a speciality. "The Sculptor's Dream," and a clever ekit, "To-day's Recruits."
