The reccnt British Armj* Order, di- > recting all officers and men who have been wounded at the front to -wear a ' short strip of gold braid on the leit sleeve of the service jacket, is repeat- » cd in New Zealand General Orders issued on Friday. The Order states: — "The following distinctions in drees will be worn oil the service dress jacket s by all officers and soldiers who have . been wounded in any of the campaigns j since August 4th, 1914 : — | "Strips of gold Russia braid. No. 1, 2in in length, sewn perpendicularly on the left sleeve of the jacket, to mark each occasion on which wounded.
