WELLINGTON, November 13. Mr M iisscy has forwarded n cablegram to the secretary of tlio Executive Council, giving the lollowing extract from the '•Yorkshire Heraid" - "The honour to be conferred by the City of York on Mr Massey is more than a personal tribule to an eloquent, broad-minded, farseeing, Imperial statesman. It i> an. act of acknowledgment of great services which have been, and are lx>ing rendered by the gallant soldiers of New Zealand in the common cause for which 15ritain and her Allies are lighting as they have fought, never before. Mr Massey met with a warm reception at the Guildhall last, week on the occasion of conferring the freedom of tlio City of London. - '
