Carnival Week, the period of the year ■when Canterbury gathers in Christchurch and meets friends from all over the Dominion, is "well reflected in tho issue of the "Weekly Press" that comes out to-morrow. Tho main out-door attractions were the great Show of the Canterbury A. and P. Association, the Metropolitan Meeting of the Canterbury Jockey Club, and the Spring Meeting of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club. As to the SkoVj the "Weekly Press" photographens cured a good series of pictures depicting the massed parade of prize-winners, the champions in cattle, horse, and sheep classes, and the that thronged -tho grounds on People's I>ayOf the races at lliccarton, the illustrations deal fully with Derby Day and Oaks Day, showing the finishes, too "winners, and the Derby decoration. The trotting illustrations "arc equally attractive, chief attention being accorded to the New Zealand Cup handicap, dc scribed as the most valuable trotting raco in the -world, and there are view* of the fire which destroyed the fine stewards' stand.
