MATSON AND CO.'S BULL SALE.
Messrs H. Matsoa and Co. hold their annual bull sale at Tattersall's on Saturday, when there was an entry ol" about 100 head. "With I'cw exception* the bulls were yearling Shorthorns, there being a few older bulls, also a few Holsteins, Jerseys. Guernseys, and Herefords. Tho bulls were much better than tho average at this sale, being bettor grown, and the condition showed considerable improvement over last year's offerings. A i'ew of tho bulls were only lit to use where no calves arc reared, but on ./he whole there was a good selection of useful breeding stock. There, was a good demand for Shorthorns, and only one failed to lind a buyer. There was a large attendance ol buyers l'rora ill parts, as widely separated as Gisbome and Southland.
