CASUALTIES.
A youuff man named Blunt, residing wither I<\ Price at Hornby, was driving a. delivery cart on Saturday for Mr Yoss. baiter, when he slipped off the stop, the cart wheel passing over his head and body. Two ribs were broken and he sustained severe wounds on the side of tlio head. He was attended by Dr. Thompson, but it will bo a considerable time beforo lie will bo able to got about attain. A lad of 14 years, named Leonard Ward, who resides at 25 Bangor street, was working on the lift at Miss Trent'fe Cadena kitchen, in Cashel street on Saturday, when ho fell a distanco of about <20 feet into an adjoining right of way. Ho was taken to the hospital in a bruised and shaken condition, and was put under an X-ray examination. This afternoon lie was reported to bo progressing favourably. An able seaman, James Albert Andersen, was a victim of a painful accident at Lyttelton at about _ 3 p.m. on Saturday. Ho was leaning against the Wakatu, and the vessel swinging outwards, Andersen fell into the harbour, striking his head against the ship's side. Ho received slight concussion of the brain and abrasions to the scalp. He was removed to the casualty ward, where he was given attention by Dr. Newell. Vincent Luisetti, 10 years of ago, son of Mr P. Luisetti, of Ivaiapoi, while fishing with two companions on Saturday, was attacked by a yearling heifer. He suffered many severe bruises, a fractured right arm, and a dislocated shoulder.
Tavo motor-cars collided at the cross roads, Lincoln, yesterday morning, one beiriET driven by Mr Cooney, of Cooney's Valley. Both, cars were more or less damaged, and the occupants of Sir Cooney's car, who were thrown out, received several nasty bruises each, and a good shaking.
