Bates, Government Meteorologist, eupplied the following weather report at 4i p.m. yesterday:— A small, but intense, westerly area of low pressure passed in the South aa Sunday, with squally conditions southward of Kawhia and Castlopoint. Atmospbario pressure is abov© normal everywhere. Present indications are for fair to clondy weather generally, moderate to strong-south-erly winds predominating, and a rising barometer. '
