THE SERBIAN SUCCESS. TROOPS NEAR FLORINA. PARIS, September 17. A communique states: — "Tho (Serbians reaciicd the outskirts of Vctrenik and Kajmackalan after heavy and successful nghiing. "French and Russian troops are continuing their rapid advance, and have arrived before Fiorina.*' "An English reconnaissance on tho t>+rtinia hont fought many successful engagements on the left bank of the river, in which some prisoners were taken. "Tho Serbians to the eastward of the Cerna liver were successful in fierce battles, and continue to cross the River ! Wroda."' DEFEAT ADMITTED. ("Th-j Times.") LONDON, September 17. The Bulgarian communique admits defeat on the Moglena Plain, and announces that the Anglo-French Fleet bombarded Kavalla, setting fire to the barracks, and other buildings. KAVALLA BOMFARDED. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, September 17. A German communique says: — '•Isolated en°ray warships are bombarding Kavi^la."
