KAIAPOI CYCLING CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING.
The annual meeting of the Kaiapoi Cycling Club was held last evening, and was well attended. Mr L. B. Evans presided.
The report stated that no sports gathering had been held during the year owing to tho many patriotic calls on tho public. Twentytwo members had left for the front, and a number of others were in. the training camps. The year's working showed a loss of £22 Is 3d. The financial position was, nevertheless, 60und, aJi expenditure showing a decrease. Tho assets wore .£993 13s 9d, and the liabilities £459 5s 9d.
The following officers were elected:—Patron, Hon. D. Buddo, M.P.: president, Mr R. Evans; vico-presidenta, Hon. H. Moore, M.L.C., Messrs L. B. Evans, J. H. Blackwell, J. W. Barnaul, F. L. Paraham, T. K. Leithead, H. A. Cooper. J. Morley, «md T. Butcher; captain, Mr H. W. Farrer; vicocaptain, Mr A. H. Pearce; secretary, Mr J. Stanton; treasurer, Mr G. McGregor; committee, Messrs E. K. Thornton, J. Bryden, W. Reeves, R. Barnard, E. Monlr,.and H. D. Coolrslev; auditors, Messrs J. L. Conlan and E. F. Wright; delegate to Sporta Protection Association, Mr T. Knox; delegates to Park Committee, Messrs L. B. Evans and J. Bryden.
The repayment of «. debenture of £13 J7o 6d was authorised. ""
It was agreed to make a donation of £3 3a to the Bed Cross l^und. A Roll of Honour containing ih© names of the 22 members who had left on active service was unveiled by tho chairman, who expressed the hopo that all the men would rotum at the end of the year.
