Kobcd in rich purples, gorgeous to behold, Starred with ten thousand £>inta of wink ing gold, And a great jewel blazing on hex breast. So should hare shone the angels' watch flro bright , Through the pale dusk of that tremendoui even When Michael's millions kopt their watch, and ward, Bating a breathing space in the grand fight, Upon the steep confines of utmost heaven, Waiting the time and coming ol their Lord. ; A.W.
