Mr Black promised that the Cabinet would givo the matter consideration. COLLIERY TROUBLES. SYDNEY, July 21. Stop-work meetings of miners in the various collieries throughout Australia passed a motion protesting against the failure of employers to grant an eight hour day, and payment of overtime. The miners on the Maitland field resumed work, the employers granting a conference. MELBOURNE. July 21. The employees of the State Coal Min* ceased work as the result of being refused increased wanes. PRICES OF "cOMMODnTEB. MELBOURNE. July 21. The Federal Ministry has extended the powers of the Commonwealth Price Fixing Board. A Commissioner has been appointed for each State, and on his advico the Board will recommend prices and rates for foodstuffs, necessary commodities, and transport. A RICH ESTATE. MELBOURNE. July 21. Tho Victorian estate of the widow of Mr Hall, tho Mount Morgan millionaire, has been valued for probate at £010,123.
