In the Houso of Commons Mr Herlxrt Samuel stated that the Government regarded as important tho enlistment in their respective armies of men of tbo Allied nations now in England. Tbc British authorities had actively coonerated with tho Allied Governments in tbis matter, and arrangements were now being considered for the giving of facilities for tho eventual enlistments of foreigners in the British Army.

The institution of a system of petrol tickcts is foreshadowed by a new regulation under the Defence of the Realm Act, requiring users of petrol to supply tho Government with information regarding its consumption.
