Morton. injured—Private C. K. Robinson. Ill—Privates J. S. Gray and S. E. Rankin. Convalescent—Lieutenant W. Campbell. Returned to duty—Privates W. A. Fraser and H. C'arr. PERSONAL NOTES. The death occurred at Nelson Hospital yesterday ot Captain P. J. Plume. Our Nelson corespondent tclegrapiis that, tlic deceased was a son of the laio Mr Robert Hume, of Dunedin, and was educated at the Otago High School. Adopting dentistry, he practised his profession at Takaka. He enlisted in the Second Reinforcements as a lieutenant, and shortly after arrival in Egypt was appointed "dental surgeon at Lady Godley's Hospital. On June 23rd, 11)15. ho wa= promoted captain. Owing to ill-health, he was invalided to New Zealand and admitted to hospital, where he had been some months, dying of consumption. Tho deceased was 33 years of age, and leaves a widow and three children, the youngest aged four. Captain Hume served in one of the South African contingents. Tho remains will be accorded a military funeral on Saturday. I

Captain Ralph Harrison Nicolson ! (Otago Infantry Battalion), reported wounded is 21 years of age, and was born in Dunediu, and educated at tho Otago Boys' High School. Ho is a son of Mr William Nicolson, well-known in business circles in tho southern city. About i!>V years ago. Captain Nicolson, who was in the service of Messrs Buttenvorth. Bros., warehousemen, was transferred to Christchurcli. Mo departed for tho front with the Fourth Reinforcements, as a lieutenant, and the day before ho left New Zealand he was married to a Christchurch. lady. About twelve months ago Captain Nicholson was reported sick and invalided to England. Lieut. C. W. Salmon (New Zealand Engineers, reported wounded) is tho youngest son of Mr T. B. Salmon, late Inspector of Post Officos, Christchurch. Lieut. Salmon, who was an assistant-engineer in the Public Works Department, was travelling in Canada when the war broke out. He left there for England, and joined the British section of tho New Zealanders at Salisbury Plain whence he went to Egypt. At Gallipoii, where lie was wounded, Lieut. Salmon won the D.C.M. and a commission.

Lieutenant Philip Uren. of the 29tli Division 'of the Lancashire Fusiliers, has been reported killed at Vimy Ridge, France, on the 18th inst. He' was the youngest son of Mr P. Uren, late Town Clerk of Lawrence, Otago, and left the service of the Bank of New South Wales to enlist with the Main Expeditionary Force from Auckland, and subsequently was promoted to a lieutenancy in the above Regiment. Lieutenant TJren was the only single son of the late Mr Philip Uren, and was a brother of Mr H. V. Uren, of this city. He passed through all tho fighting at Gallipoli, from tho landing to the evacuation, without receiving a scratch, but had only been two weeks in France before meeting his death.
