ANGLO-RUSSIAN AGREEMENT. FOREIGN MINISTER'S STATEMENT ("Times" and "Sydney Sun" Service*.) PETROGRAD. May 30. M. Sazonoff, Minister of Foreign Affairs, in an interview, said he was gratified with Mr Asquith's recognition of the complete agreement between Britain and Russia, on Eastern questions. He said that tho Anglo-Russian Alliance born of the war would become a permanent Alliance based on common interests and; a mutual understanding.

Popular sentiment in Russia was not; aggressive toward Sweden, and was determined to .fulfil the promise of Polish autonomy.
