An official communique says:— "In the Asiago sector wo gained a footing on the south-eastern slopos of the Arsa Valley, and occupied several heights north of Asiago. An official eommuniquo says:— "The enemy in tho Lagarina Valley renewed his obstinate and bloody attacks, -which were again and again broken. "The Italians on the Asiago Plateau have occupiod and aro consolidating a position dominating tho Asiago basin. ENEMY'S nEAYY LOSSES. LONDON, May 28. It is estimated that tho Austrian losses on tho Italian front since tho offensive began on May 14th have been 100,000 killed and wounded. AUSTRIAN HEAVY ARTILLERY. HELD UP BY SNOWFALL.
