CHRISTCHURCH GARRISON.

XON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS' CLUB REVIVED. The annual meeting of the Christchurch Garrison Non-commissioned Officers' Club was held in tho club room at King Edward Barracks, on Saturday. Present: iSergeant-Major H. Wise, R.M.Q.S. Hicks, S.M. Ross, S.M. Gabriel, Q.M.S. Smith, S.M. Franklin, Q.M.S. Muschamp, Q.M.S. French, Sergeant Chapman, arid Sergeant Butteriiekl. Tho report and balance-sheet, tbo latter showing a credit of £9, were adopted. Tho following officers were elected: Patron, Colonel G. J. Smith; president, S.M. Wise; rice-presidents, R.Q.M.S. Hicks, Q.M.S. Muschamp, S.M. Ross, and S.M. Chapman ;> secretary, S.M. S. A. Gabriel; treasurer, Q.M.S. Smith; librarian, Q.M.S. French ; auditors, S.M. Franklin, Sergt. Rattrav.

On the motion of S.M. Gabriel, seconded by S.M. 11. "Wise, it was resolved that au honours board be placed in the club room for those faJlen for King and country. On the motion of R .Q.M.S. Hicks, seconded by Q.M.S. Muschamp, it was decided that S.M. Wise, S.M. Ross, and S.M. Franklin form a deputation to wait on the

officers of the garrison to explain the benefits of the X.C.O.'s Club and tho necessity of their X.C.O.'s becoming members.

It was resolved that the secretary write on behalf of tiie club, expressing deepest sympathy with \V. 0. Lee iii the loss of Ills father. \

Tho following X.C.O.'s were elected members on Saturday, and it is hoped that before the end of the current year the membership oi tho club wilf be gieatly increased: S.S.M.
