HOCKEY.
CKAKFOUD CLUB. The fifth annual general meeting of the members o£ the Crnnford Hockey Club was held on Thursday evening, Mr Robert Barter presiding over a iair attendance. The. annual reoori stated that tho membership now stood at 41, with 50 at the" end of the previous year. Seventeen, members hud enlisted. The club had participated in the Canterbury Hockey Association's competitions, and tho fourth grade., A team had been successful in winning it 3 grade. The club's iinanccs wore iu p. fairly satisfactory condition, and there were excellent prospects .of another successful eeason. The election .of officers resulted: —Patron, Mr J. "W. Beanland: vice-presidents, Messrs \V. Kingsland, A. C. Vincent, J. WootTard, G. Lucas, A. Lawrence, and R. Barter; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. Vincent; auditor, Mr P. N. 'Quartermain: club captain. Mr V. Pearce; deputy-captain, Mr S. Moore; committee, Messrs J. Keand, L. Craighead, A. Small, L. Hunt; delegates to the Canterbury Hockey Association, Messrs "W. Lucas and 'C. Vincent.
The opening day was fixed for April Ist, The following is th© list of club members who havo enlisted:— A. Lawrence, L.Parkyn, L. Hegan, H. Kemblo, J. Smith.,. R. Small, A. Cooper, J. W. Barter. 11. Lucas, Jamea Barter, P. Giles, A. C. Vincent. L. Chamberlain, F. Pearce, G. Harrison, F. l-'nulkner, and L. Hunt.
