THE MINE-SWEEPERS,

In dafersnce to tho wishes of tho St. John Ambulance Association, the collection which was to have been taken next week ott account of the mme-aweepers Km been postponed until March, when a rather lv.vci idea is to bo put into operation on behalf ot this fund, in the shape of a Coppjr Week. The idea is that every man. woman, and child in the district should contribute at least Id towards this object, and. in order to collect subscriptions lady helpers undertake to visit every houso in tho city and suburbs. Thanks to the proffered assistance of the Women's Service League and the various Sailors' Guilda, this task is not cspected to be a heavy one.
