Tho New Zealand Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association offered for sale by auc- - tion on Saturday 62 acres 3 roods 23 perches of land at Lincoln, in tho estato of tho late Mr Wm. Miller, ft was s-ohl at £24 per acre to Mr J. Penny, of Lincoln. Messrs Craddock, McCrostie Co. held an auction sale on Saturday of several city and suburban properties. All were passed in except a section of 17 perches on Moorliouso avenue, opposite the Christehnrch railway station, which was sold to Mr J. Hall at £500. COALGATE SALE. At the Coalgate t-aleyards on Friday, about 700 sheep and lambs were yarded. There was a good attendance of export buyers, and all fats met a keen demand. Values -were as follows: Fat < lambs from 17s fid to 22s 4d. fat. Evwcs 18s 6d to 20s 4d. About half a dozen pens of stores were on offer, all selling at full rates, as follows: forward 4rtooth -wethers 19s lOd, small 2-tooth Down cross ewes lis 4d. ditto wethers lis 2d. A pen of G-tooth crossbred ewes fetched 16s lOd. ROUTE MARCHES. « AT AUCKLAND AND WELLINGTON. On Saturday next, February sth, , wmc 3000 troops will engage in route i marches through Auckland and Wellington cities. The biggest display will be made at i Auckland, where some 2000 men will bo seen in marching along in column. These troops will comprise the 4th Battalion, New Zealand Rifle Brigade, (the Earl of Liverpool's Own), the 3rd Reinforcements for the Maori Contingent, Ambulance Reinforcements and Army So/rrice- Corps. The 4tit Battalion, X.Z.R.8., is at present encamped at Rangiotu, and towards the end of the week will be sent through by train to Auckland. The same will be done with the Ambulance men, who are now in training at Awanuni, Palmerston North. These, with the Maori Reinforcements encamped at Auckland, , >hould make a really fine display, and j should give residents of the Northern "itv an excellent idea of the manner in j n'hich troops are being turned out in NYw Zealand.
