It is officially announced that Sir Percy Lake has joined Major Avlmer at Wadi 0 on the Tigris. The weather is bad and the whole country is deep, in mud, which is delaying the movements of the British troops. Lieut.-General Sir Percy Lake, formerly Chief of the General Staff of the Indian Army, was recently appointed Commander-in-Chief of the British Forces in Mesopotamia!
