SYDENHAM MONEY CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of shareholders in the Sydenham and Suburban Cooperative Money Club was held last Thursday. Mr J.. Brown (president), who occupied the chair, in moving the adoption of the report and balance-Sheet, congratulated members upon the fact that, in spite of tho adverse circumstances arising through the war, the committee was still able to recommend that the. usual dividend be declared. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr J. Brown; vice-president, Mr W. Dalley; trustees, Messrs G. W. J. Parsons and R. "Wright; committee. Messrs T. J. Glcdhill and J. Hadfiefd; auditors, Messrs Mark W. Woodficld and T. F.,,Ha11; secretary, Mr "VV. D. Marks. The report for the six months ended December 31st, 1915, stated: The share list closed with 970 members, holding 4086 shares. Tho number of loans granted was 101, amounting to £2094 16s lOd, making a grand total since the foundation of the club of £295.978 0s 3d, The present number of borrowers on the books is 222, and the total amount of interest £1155 13s sd. The total receipts for the half-year were £8475 0s 6d. The "sum. of £208 3s has bem disbursed in payment of accounts, salaries, etc., leaving a credit balance of £1156 3s 7d. X°? r - com " -mittce rccomniend that a dividend at tho rate of 8d in the £ be added to each complete 10s standing to members' credit on December 31st, 1915; that amounts over the £100 receive dividends at tho rate of 4 per cent, per annum on each complete 10s for the half-vear; that- tho committee receive a bonus of £36 15s, and auditors £16 16s. and that the balance, after paying interest on deposits, be carried forward.
