DOMINION TOURNAMENT; PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP. SECTIONAL TIES DECIDED. For the fifth day of tlio New Zealand Bowling Association's. Patriotic Tournament yesterday fine weather was experienced. Th« sky was ororcast in the morning but fino •weather ruled during tile afternoon, and what wind there was did not interfere with play. A start was made with the Pairs Championship, and when play ceased the sectional ties had -beon decided. Play in this event will be resumed this morning on,- the Christchurch and Linwood greens, and the final of tho Hint Tournament is to be decided on the Christchurch green. Tho final game of tho day on tho Chriftchurch grcon produced quite a sensation. The teams were Stratford (P. Skoglund and A. T. Skoglund) and Canterbury (D. Konayne and J. A. Eedpatb), and on. the • 20th head the scores were:—Canterbury 21, Stratford . IG. On tho 'final head the Stratford team wes lying 4 and then drew ft fifth. Konayno'a drive resulted in Canterbury lying second, shot. Skoglund then played to tho Canterbury bowl lying in front of tho jack, and forced Canterbury's bowl through, Stratford lying sis- Ronayno with his final bowl ran through tho head, leaving tho Taranaki team winners by one up.'
