A CHANGED ASPECT. THE RUSSIAN OFFENSIVE. LONDON, January 2. The Petrograd correspondent of the states that last week has changed the aspect of the whole RussoGerman front. From Pripet to the Galician front and on the Dwina front there suddenly blazed out a fierce activity. The previous inactivity had greatly increased Prussia's striking power. The new troops are a fine type of soldier, and ammunition is plentiful. The Russian military authorities estimate that the Anstro-Germans from Pripet to Roumania number 1,500,000. So far the Russians have had the advantage of the fighting. A very interesting article describing the condition and spirit of Russia after fifteen months of war will be found on page 2 of this issue.
