Difficulty is still being experienced in completing tho 11th Reinforcements, though during the past month tho most urgent appeals have been made to the eligible manhood of New Zealand to make up the number. Tho l>efenco Headquarters announced this morning that on New Year's Day the Elevenths were still over 300 men short. During tho past week the South Island had nob done so well as tho North in sending men into camp to reduce the deficiency. A considerable spurt will also be required to be made in recruiting this week to furnish tho necessary number of men for the 12ths. which are being mobilised on tho 10th inst.
