A public meeting' of householders waa heH in th© Wharenui School on Saturday evening. The chairman of the School Committee, Mr F. (J. Coombs. presided. After an explanation by- the chairman, it 'was unanimously decided to recommend the committee that a gathering should tako place in the ne>w school ground, on February 26th. to take the form of a picnic and a patriotic function in aid of the school Red Cross i'und. PHILLIPSTOWX KINDERGARTEN. The Phi'iipstown Crcchc and KindeTtrarten closed on Tuesday afternoon for the* holiday*. The school waa crowdcd with mothers and frienda, about 80 being present.
