HARKWOOD SCHOOL, COMMITTER. At the last meeting of the Harowood School Committer, it was derided to hold the annual school concert on Wednesday next, at which Mr G. Witty will- unveil the school Koll of Honour, and Mr J. J. Dnufrall will deliver a patriotic address. Tho meeting also decided to close tho school for the Christmas vacation from December '2yrd to January 31st. ADDIXGTOX CATHOLIC SCHOOL. A most satisfactory report was received from the headmaster rc^ardin;^'attendance- and examination results. The headmaster's report showed an average attendance of 232 out of a roll v.nm'wr.of 217. The headma«ier was congratulated on the results of the Sixth Standard examination. Tlie school picnic is to be held at Suiuiur en December 22nd, 1015. LIXWOOD SCHOOL COMMITTEE. The monthly meeting of the Linwood School Committee- w'as held on Wednesday. Present:—Messrs W. 11. Deuton (chairman), It. Carter, (i. Phillips, H. V. Herbert, W. J. Jenkin, 11. Ellis, b. Coulter, G. Gundry, and W. Young. Leave of absence v.as granted to Mr G. Phillips, who has enlisted for service- at Samoa. The headmaster reported tho avcrajjo attendance- to bo S'J3, and the roll number Gl7. The sum of £11 I.ls yd ha-l l>ccn presented by the pupi!s in pence for material for Red Cross purposes, r.nd the f-enior echoliirs had undertaken to sell ten pounds' worth of Red pross stamps. Miss K. Turner, sonior pupil teacher, was leaving the staff to complcto her trainitii; at the Xermal College. Th? swimminsr classes, ur.dcr Jlisj G. [Fitch and Mr C.J. Onnandy. were regularly attended, and numbers of beginners f.hi 3 year were able to swim. It wns decided to sivo no prices this year, but to ;iv.--rd cert'ficitcs of merit instead.
