A meeting of the Coaljatc Fcto Conimittco was held in th© Produce Shed on Wednesday evening, when much detail work ji] reterenco to the carrying o\it of the Fete, on December :29th. w;ia completed. The matter of obtaining the necssF»ry Ca-ss for decorative purposes was left in the hands of the executive. /Mr A. E. Dcrrctt undertook to provide two flagpoles tor th? Domain for the* Fete. The question of providing prizes ;'or the novelty eports waß left in the handi of the Sports Committee. Th* secretary was instructed to write to one of the Christchurch stock firms to ask tbem to send an auctioneer to auction anv articles on Fete Day. It was rerolved that all ticket* in rafflre in connexion with the Baby Carnival be handed in a*. 0 D.m. on the dav of the Fete, but that fresh books he Issued after that hour, the proceeds to -;o to the general funds.
