» WARNING TO GROWERS. (TRZSS ASSOCIATION' TELECBAiI.) NELSON, December 16. Hudson, M.P.. who said that ono portion of the Nelson district alone would soon bo exporting a million cases. He warned growers that thero would soon bo a serious glut, which would threaten hundreds with bankruptcy, unless oversea markets wero properly, opened up; New Zealaud was admirably suited to supply the United States in the off season and splendid markets were available, but they required to be properly opened tip. The meeting condemned in the strongest terms the inactivity of the Dominion Federation Executive in regard to the proposed orchard tax of one shilling an 'aero to provide a competent man to investigate the markets, etc., as no other form of agriculture was providing such big returns per acre as fruit. In future anplcs would add £-1,000,000 to the value of exports.
