SHIPPING NOTES. The auxiliary schooner Huia, has left Auckland for "Wellington, Wcatport, Greymouth, Nelson, New Plymouth, Lyttelton, and Dunodin. The date of her arrival at this port is uncertain. After a somewhat lengthy absence the coastal elearner Defender is due at Lytteiton towards the end ot this week from tho West Coast with a cargo of timber. En route from London to Wellington and Lyttelton, the .Shaw, Savill and Albion Lino's steamer Corinthio was expected to leave Hobart yesterday. She will probably arrive at Wellington on Sunday, and will reach Lyttelton about the end of next week. The Moana goes to Lyttelton to dock before making her next trip to San Francisco, arrangements to this end having been completed. The steamer Riouw, which put into Cape Town with her carpo on fire, resumed her voyage to New Zealand from New York last .Saturday. She reaches Auckland early in January.
