NEW ZEALAND LAGGING BEHIND. (rRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUC-KLANDj December 14. The Hon. James Allen has written to the Aucklann Chamber of Commerce drawing attention to tho fact that tho trade between New Zealand and Samoa is not increasing as it ought, and that it is evident that Australia is outstripping u.s altogether. 'Iho Minister says that it has been reported to him that unle:-s the New Zealand merchants go to fNimoa for business it will be diverted largely to America mid Australia, and he suggests that New Zealand firms should combine and send .jointly to Samoa a trade representative and divide the cost.
