Tlio Wakatu is due at Lyttelton this even ing, and will eail qn her return to Kaikoura aiid Wellington to-morrow. Ihe V.'estport Coal Company's steamer Canopus has recently been running between the West Coast and Auckland. She is not expected to visit Lyttelton again until about the 20th inct., and, after completing discharge, s:ho will be docked for her annual eurvcy and overhaul. Another vessel which is to bj docked at Lyttelton about the end of the month, is tho Canterbury Shipping Company's steamer Storm. The Union Company's collier Kauri is to fnter the Lyttelton dry dock at noon today for cleaning and painting. She will probably coma out to-morrow, and commence to load wool for San Francisco. With a cargo a! coal for Lyttelton, tho Melbourne Steam Ship Company's steamer Melbourne left Newcastle on Sunday. En route she will call at Nelson, whero sho is due nest Saturday. The Cygnet left Lyttelton last night for Kaikoura. where she will load sheep for Wanganui. She will return to Lyttelton, via Kaikoura, on Thursday, and sail again ■lb" following day for Kaikoura, SVunganui, and Picton. Under charter to G. H.
