AN IMPORTANT CONFERENCE. UNANIMOUS DECISION REPORTED; FIRM -VOTE TO GREECE. (Received December 15th, -j.o p.m.) PARIS, December 11. The conference between M. Briaud, Prime Minister of France, Sir Edward Grey, Lord Kitchener, General Joffro, Sir Francis Bertie, British Ambassador in France, and General Gallieni. has aroused the most intense interest. There is general relief a t the report, that the conference has removed the divergence of opinion between France and Britain regarding Salonica, and that there is now no question of abandoning Salonica. The decision renders energetic attitude possible in Greece. It is probable that a joint Note will be presented to Athens, couched in firm language, end requiring an immediate settlement.
