I'ETE AT OKAIX'S BAY. In connexion withe the Peninsula War Fund Appeal, a fete was he-Id on the Kocreation Ground, Okaih's Bay, on Wednesday. A number of chiefly patriotic and humorous, were riven or the school children under llit-c D. The speakers mado a direct appeal to those present to say on the spot how much they wore prepared to give, and although no warning had been received, nnd many farmers wero not present to the slackness of tlio market, the sum of &V2SB 10s was fiubscri!>ed. This amount will l>c credited to the O.v.'ord County's quota, and tho details of the subscriptions, together with those amounts previous'v subscribed or promised, will bo published in "Tho Press'' at an early dato. In addition to the above amount the sum of I'liO wan promised to each. of the Ashley and Kyro Counties. FENDALTOX. Tho pardon icte held last Saturday under the auspices of the l'Vndalton Toadies Guild, in the grounds of Mr W. Jameson, resulted in .{6O being raised for the Sick ar.d Wounded Soldiers' Fund.
