4 . ALLEGED ARSON. (press association telegram.) DANXEVIRKE, Dcocmbor 4. What looks like a ca.sc of .-ittemptod arson occurrcd early this morning, when a big wooden structure »n High street, known as the Cafe do was discovered to be on fire. Ino brigade effcetcd a good save, but good deal of internal dajnage was done to the building, which is owned by •' - Wcstlake, of I'aliintua. and ls insured for £1000 in the State office. Ihe furniture is owned by tlie late lessen', AV. J. Rountree, for .tloO in the State. The indications point to the building boil) 7 sot on fire in two placos, but no cvidonrc is available at present as to the peri>etrator. Mr Kountree liaa suspended business after the discovery of an incipient lire at the premises a few days ago.
A shed 12ft by 10ft, at No. 14 Truro street, off Madras wtreet. nnar Moorhouse. avenue, was found on hrfc on Saturdnv about 8.30 a.tn., and tho brisrade turned out. Tho building, winch was used as a stable, was owned and used bv Mr Solomon George. It ana its contents (a saddle) were completc.y destroyed. There were no insurances.
