Nadaud, a French correspondent with tho Russian forces, telegraphs that tho evacuation of Vilna was carried out without the general strategic situation undergoing any serious modification, German pressure along the whole of this front oontinues. The enemy is possessed of gre.it energy, having a vast number of effectives, with immense -resources of material.

I The "Russkoye Slowo" says that the Kaiser is displaying remarkable energy. He attends meetings of generals everywhere_ at- night, and there ; are continual reviews of troop*.
